U.S. Army JROTC
Our Mission: To motivate young people to be better
citizens.
A common misconception about the JROTC program is that part of our agenda
is to recruit students into the U.S. Army. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Our program's mission is to provide guidance for students, to help teach them
the vital life skills that they will need later in life, such as leadership, while at the
same time making them stronger people both physically and mentally.
Our cadets usually end up:
 | | Participating in their community more.
|
 | | Remaining strong for life.
|
 | | Being all around better people. |

Leadership is taught using the military methodology where hands-on experience
is gained by participation in numerous extracurricular activities. Cadets strive
for leadership excellence in all they do. JROTC is a one course elective which
meets one period each school day. Cadets learn about their strong attributes
and those areas where they need to improve to become better citizens of this
great nation. For more information about the Atholton JROTC program call
